The Business Problem

Compass Group Purchasing Department uses a database application to store product information, authorise pricing and distribute data. As pricing affects profits, it is vitally important that changes in the data are communicated to outlets as quickly as possible.

 

Our Solution

Systeme Ouvert was able to fully understand the business problem, and produce an innovative .NET solution, which monitors the data, stores the changes, and emails alerts to operating personnel across the Compass Group. The data is described by an XML metadata layer, which allows these services to be generically used with other databases.

 

The Value

Despite the complexity of this development, the solution turned out more flexible than originally anticipated. The Good Experience was delivered to Compass Group, and further project work has built on this solution.
